I was a Robot

Science Fiction and Pop Culture

11 October 2019 – 15 March 2020

In collaboration with the Maison d’Ailleurs, one of the world’s most important science fiction collections, this exhibition investigates our relationship with robots, cyborgs and artificial intelligence in science fiction and pop culture. Posters, magazines, films, objects and video games transport us to visual worlds in which robots and chimaeras become metaphors of our own alienation. These fantastical visions of the future reflect current and historical conceptions of humanity and technology.
