FEDERICO FELLINI

From Drawing to Film

Federico Fellini (1920–1993) was one of the most important filmmakers of the 20th century. But not so many people know that his career in film was preceded by his work as a caricaturist. He also regularly made drawings in the process of inventing characters and scenes for his films. Together with film stills, on-set recordings and film clips, this exhibition illustrates the significance of Fellini’s drawings for his creative process.
